Welcome

Join us when the Artomobilia returns to the Carmel Arts & Design District on Saturday, August 27, 2016.

WELCOME

The Carmel Artomobilia features more than 400 enthusiast and collector cars across more than 26 classes, including Super Car, Exotic, Classic, Sports car, European, Domestic, Vintage and Racers, attracting nearly 15,000 visitors from Indiana and the surrounding states.  The Artomobilia focuses on display and appreciation over competition and although each of the automobiles is truly magnificent, this event is not just about cars; it's about the art and automotive enthusiasts.

VISITORS

The Artomobilia embraces the essence of automotive art and design by uniquely combining the artwork of local galleries and artists, with the presentation of significant automobiles and their iconic design. To that end, the Selection Committee owners commissions a painting each year that features one of the most noteworthy cars presented against the canvas of the District.

In 2015, we featured a painting by Bill Patterson to capture the excitement of the Artomobilia, Arts & Design District and our featured marque.  For 2016, Bill Patterson will join us for the weekend.

Considered by many to be the highlight of the year’s events, Carmel’s Arts & Design District and the Carmel Artomobilia provides an unmatched environment for reaching one of the most desirable demographics in the state. And with nearly a half-mile of automobiles, art, retails, restaurants and vendors Arch-to-Arch, the Carmel Artomobilia promises a fun, yet sophisticated, atmosphere that features all that the District has to offer.

Artistic Highlights

artistic highlights

Each year, we try new things that add "texture" to the Artomobilia and highlight many of the assets of the Carmel and automotive hobby.  This year, we will feature a variety of artists, including musicians, painters and photographers, on the streets of the Arts & Design District.  Here are some of highlights that you'll see.

Blair Clark & Fun Factor. The Fun Factor Band is Indy’s newest premiere event and entertainment band. The Fun Factor Band is a fun, upbeat, musically-versatile, energetic band with quality musicians, strong vocals, and experienced entertainers.

Plein-Air Paint-out.  Artomobilia and the Hoosier Salon partnered to feature a plein-air paint-out and invited a collection of Indiana arts to paint in and around the cars of the Artomobilia.  The work of Wyatt LeGrand was selected for our annual commissioned painting to be used on our poster and program cover. See more...

Anthony Ross Tyler Live Photo Shoot Exhibition.  Each year, the Artomobilia celebrates automotive art and design, and there are few photographers that more clearly capture this than Anthony Ross Tyler.  New this year, we'll be featuring the work of Ross in the run-up to the event, and even at the event... and you can participate.  See more...

artomobilia APPAREL

Each year we feature a different shirt for the Artomobilia Organizing Committee.  For this year, we've extended that by creating an 2016 Event shirt.  The Finn/Ryan custom designed shirt features subtle details and excellent quality.  This year's shirts highlight Artomobilia branding details throughout, including the original sketch of the commissioned program and poster artwork of the 2016 Ford GT by Wyatt Legrand.

The Committee shirts and Event shirts differ only in the color of the thread used to embroider sponsors logos on the sleeves.  Event shirts feature a "less-shouty" red thread for the sponsor logos displayed on each sleeve.

We first stumbled across Finn/Ryan at the Monterey Motorsports Reunion last year, and then again at the Porsche Rennsport Reunion.  After speaking with the team at F/R, they agreed to create a limited run of the Artomobilia Event shirts for 2016.  Look for them on Artomobilia Organizing Committee members at Fuelicious and Artomobilia.  We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
